Instructor notes for String Methods

These are general notes about this assignment. They primarily for course instructors. These notes may also be useful to you if you are a student, particularly if you had to miss class or if you need a reminder of what happened. However, beware:

This is a long and challenging activity, and it is mostly self-explaining (if students did the reading, that is). Get started ASAP and give students as much time as possible.

Students sometimes rush through Task 0. Actively intervene to make sure that everyone actually studied and thought through the examples.
